คันฉ่อง

          คัน คือ ด้ามของวัสดุ สำหรับ ถือ

          ฉ่อง เป็น คำเดียวกัน กับคำว่า ส่อง

เป็นเครื่องใช้แผ่นกลมทำด้วยโลหะขัดเงา ใช้ส่องหน้าเช่นเดียวกับกระจก ต่อมาใช้เรียกกระจกส่องหน้าแบบที่ตั้งโต๊ะเครื่องแป้ง คำว่ากระจก เป็นคำที่รับมาจากภาษาเขมรว่า กญฺจกํ อ่านว่า (ก็อญ จ็อก)
