ด้วงดักหนู (หน่วง)

           ใช้ดักจับตายหนูโดยมีเหยื่อล่อภายใน หรือใช้ดักกระรอก กระแตโดย วางไว้บนกิ่งคาคบไม้พอได้ เป็นเครื่องมือดักหนที่ประดิษฐ์ใช้กันแพร่หลายใน สมัยก่อน ๆ ปัจจุบันยังคงมีใช้กันอยู่ แต่ก็เริ่มลดน้อยลง ในภาคอีสานมีชื่อ เรียกหลายชื่อ เช่น หน้วงดักหนู หรือหน่วง มีความหมายว่า เหนี่ยวดึงไว้ ทําให้ช้า เจ็บปวดหนัก เรียก เจ็บหน่วง ซึ่งเครื่องมือชนิดนี้ก็ทําให้หนูเจ็บปวด หนักก่อนที่ต้องตาย ภาคกลางเรียก ด้วง ซึ่งเป็นเครื่องดนตรี ที่ใช้วิธีการสีให้ เกิดเสียง เรียก “ซอด้วง” จึงไม่แน่ใจว่า ซอด้วง ขอยืมชื่อ “ด้วงดักหนู” หรือ ด้วงดักหนูยืมชื่อมาจาก “ซอด้วง” เพราะทั้งสองชนิดก็มีลักษณะส่วนประกอบ ใกล้เคียงกัน คือ มีไม้คันและกระบอกเป็นส่วนประกอบหลัก
